How does Markwise work?

Practise exam papers, understand your mistakes and choose what to revise.

Updated 8 October 2026

1. Choose your subjects

Create an account, choose GCSE or A-level, then add your subjects, exam boards and any required tiers. These choices decide which papers appear. You can change them later in Settings → Edit subjects.

2. Practise and mark

Open Past papers, choose a paper and complete it. Use Mark a paper to submit your answers. When marking finishes, open the result to see the marks, question feedback and any available grade estimate.

3. Take the next step

Revision uses missed marks to highlight topics to work on. Open a topic for notes and revision links, then practise it again. Progress tracks your XP, level and grades over time.
