How should I use my first study session?

A short routine to get useful feedback.

Updated 8 October 2026

1. Attempt the paper

Pick a paper that matches your course. Work without the mark scheme and use the timer if you want exam conditions. Keep question numbers on your answers so they can be matched to the paper.

2. Review and practise

Submit the answers, read the feedback and choose one weak topic. Revise its notes or links, then try a similar question without looking at the explanation. Use the next result to see whether the mistake is improving.
